Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®)
Use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form to apply for financial aid for college, career school, or graduate school.
Not enrolled in a public or chartered, private high school? Apply here.
Most Ohio high school seniors attend a public high school or a chartered private high school, and they are added to this portal by their school district or high school. If you attend one of these schools, you do NOT need to apply for the Governor's Merit Scholarship (GMS).
Homeschooled students and students who attend a Dropout Prevention and Recovery School or a Nonchartered Private School must apply here to be considered for GMS.
Again, you only need to apply for GMS if you are currently an Ohio high school senior and one of the following:
- Homeschooled Student (HS)
- Dropout Prevention and Recovery Student (DPRS)
- Nonchartered Nonpublic School Student (NCNP)
Applying for Ohio GMS takes only a few minutes. After you submit the form we will email you a verification code to confirm your email address and finish creating your account.
